Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar
Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - This particular type of mast includes three parts as the name implies. The outer part is connected securely to the lift vehicle. The next section telescopes inside the mounted outside section and the interior most section telescopes within the middle part. Both the middle and the interior part raise and the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides within the internal part. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. This mast is normally equipped with a center cylinder to let the fork carriage elevate a few distance before the mast parts begin extension.
There are two main parts in a 2 Stage Mast. The external part of the mast is affixed to the lift vehicle. The inner section sits in the outer section and elevates when the cylinders lengthen. The fork carriage is situated within the internal part. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height compared to an equivalent lift height quad mast or 3 stage mast.
