Overall sales for that initial year totaled $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Through five years of operation, the company had expanded to 40 staff and their annual sales volume had increased to $330,000. Nowadays, Cascade is amongst the leading international manufacturers within the material handling trade.

Design and production of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this new company to aggressively engage in new business possibilities. All through the final 60 years, the business of material handling has grown into a very complex field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its development. Cascade presently continues to grow as the premier provider of forklift attachments and various related items. All through the 1950's, Cascade began to fabricate, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. In 1964, the business changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock.
